Pets are minted with $yPET. We want to provide utility for our $yPET token and constant volume to ensure protocol's attractiveness. This is the reason we decided the minting to be made using $yPET.
Dynamic Minting Price is the result of months of reflection and research. Unlike static pricing models, the minting price in Yield Pets is designed to adjust in real-time, based on the market cap of $yPET. Here are the details:
This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the entry cost for acquiring pets remains balanced with the overall economic environment of the game. As the market cap of $yPET fluctuates, the minting price will adapt accordingly - offering a fair and sustainable economic model that encourages onboarding new user.
Every pet in Yield Pets has a fixed lifespan measured in days. Once a pet’s lifespan is complete, it will die and move to The Sanctuary, where it is retired from active gameplay. Pets in the Sanctuary can no longer fight or heal.

Level 1: All pets begin here upon minting.
Level 2: Achieved after earning sufficient XP and paying the $yPET upgrade fee.
Level 3: The highest level, offering the best rewards and earning potential.
Every newly minted pet starts at Level 1. As they engage in battles in the Arena, they earn XP, which allows them to level up. Pets can progress up to Level 3, leveling up requires reaching the necessary XP threshold and paying a small amount of $yPET. For fairness reasons, the upgrade price is fixed according to Dynamic Price Minting. It's a percentage based on the minting price paid by the owner of the pet. This allows having a fair system for every user on The Island. Every pet has a fixed lifespan in days, which limits the total amount of time they can spend fighting in the Arena. As a pet's lifespan ticks down, players need to make careful decisions about when to rest and when to battle.
The Adaptive Claim Stability system dynamically adjusts claims efficiency based on how frequently a player claims rewards within a single day. Each player starts with 100% Claim Stability, which decreases progressively with each claim. As stability drops, a portion of the claimed amount is temporarily reduced, encouraging players to space out their claims strategically.

Any reduction applied to a claim is not lost but redistributed within the ecosystem to enhance sustainability:
50% of the reduced amount is burned, permanently reducing the total supply of $yPET to create deflationary pressure.
25% is allocated to the treasury, supporting future developments and ensuring long-term economic balance.
25% is redirected to guild rewards, increasing incentives for active guild participation and competition.
Claim Stability virtually recovers over time. After 24 hours, stability fully resets to 100%, ensuring that occasional withdrawals remain unaffected while discouraging excessive claiming and immediate selling.
By implementing this system, Yield Pet promotes a healthier in-game economy, balancing reward accessibility with sustainability while preventing rapid sell-offs and ensuring a deflationary mechanism benefits long-term players.
Each pet comes with unique traits and specificities. They have a different hourly return percentage, different HP limit and a different lifespan. Pets can either rest in the Garden, where they heal and recover their HP, or be sent to the Arena to engage in battles and earn $yPET tokens. The key to success lies in understanding the balance between resting and fighting, and developing effective strategies for maximizing returns.
Each pet has a distinct Return on Investment (ROI), meaning that your earning potential varies depending on which pet you choose and how you manage it. While PET 2 has the highest HP, offering longer fighting times, PET 3 (with lower HP) may offer quicker recovery and faster turnaround in the Arena, making it a great choice for long term strategies as he inherits the longest lifespan. Meanwhile, PET 1 offers a balanced option for moderate risk and reward.
The key to thriving in Yield Pets is developing a strategy that maximizes ROI while carefully managing your pet's HP and battle engagement. Some players may prefer high-risk strategies by focusing on frequent arena fights with lower-HP pets, while others might aim for long-term gains with stronger pets and a more cautious approach to healing and fighting.
